As many of you already know, the Bourgeault family suffered a devastation on October 3 when my very dear and best friend Karen suffered a major stroke. She was in and out of the ICU for over a month before spending time at Spalding rehab and recently has been moved to a subacute rehab facility.

Karen’s family is starting the process of preparing their lives and her home so that Karen can return there. She will need a lot of help and services in order to be successful and remain at home. The emotional, physical and financial burden has been extremely difficult on the whole family.

Karen is a magical and special person amongst her family, friends and community. She was an active mom, wife, meme and friend. Her life, and her family’s lives have been forever changed. We have created this page in hopes that we can lift some of this burden and help to move Karen home as soon as possible where she will be in her happy place with family and friends surrounding her.
