Subject: Help My Dad Recover After Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My dad, who lives in Jamaica, has been deeply affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. The storm tore through his community and my childhood home, leaving behind destruction, flooding, and heartbreak. My dad lost nearly everything—his home was damaged, his belongings ruined, and access to food, clean water, and electricity has been extremely limited. During the last hurricane it took 2 months for him to re-gain electricity. I can't imagine how long it will take this time with the destruction that hit this time.

Despite his strength and resilience, he’s now facing a long and difficult road to recovery. Rebuilding his home and life will take resources that our family simply doesn’t have right now. That’s why I’ve started this fundraiser—to help cover the costs of repairs, essential supplies, medical needs, and daily living expenses as he works to recover from this disaster. My father is 73 years old and having to go without the basics is heartbreaking for me.
