Help Karen Bables Stay in Her New Home!

Karen moved into assisted living in early September with the hope she would qualify for the MI Choice program once she ran out of money. Unfortunately, she is $72 a month over the income limit and does not qualify. She LOVES her room and the staff at the place she is living.

She stopped treatment for multiple myeloma in May 2024 after 10 years of battling the cancer. At that time, she was given a life expectancy of “not more than a year.” Her funds will run out in March. We are trying to raise about $4000 per month so she can stay where she is until she dies.
