On Wednesday, September 24th, our mom, Karen Nali, was involved in a devastating car accident in Shakopee, MN that resulted in a broken wrist, broken collarbone, several broken ribs, and a traumatic brain injury.
She is currently in the hospital facing a long road to recovery. We are so thankful that she's alive after viewing the damages to the car, and we realize that she has a challenging journey ahead - physically, emotionally, and financially.
She's received surgery on her wrist, a titanium plate with several screws being installed. Her sense of humor hasn't been affected; she is telling everyone she's now a bionic woman!
She's been moved to a unit where they'll provide therapies to help her regain range of motion in her hand, independence, and most importantly, help her with her memory.
Our mom is very passionate about her career - teaching high school Spanish, as well as being very active in her church and volunteering at the Healing Rooms in Belle Plaine, MN. She is a see a need, fill a need kind of person. Now she is needing support herself.
We are raising funds to help cover:
Medical bills not covered by insurance
Rehab and therapy for her brain injury and broken bones
Home adjustments and caregiving support as she recovers
Living expenses while she's unable to work
Every donation, no matter the size, will directly help our mom focus on healing without the added stress of financial strain. Even if you aren't able to give, we would be so grateful if you would share this campaign and keep her in your prayers. In the coming weeks, she would be very excited to have visitors.
Thank you so much for rallying around our mom during this difficult time!
