Help Karen Fight for Her Life & Stability

My cousin, Karen, has always been a fighter. In 2019, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Against all odds, she made it through treatment and reached what should have been her 5-year survivor anniversary. We celebrated her courage, her resilience, and her hope.

But in December 2024, our world turned upside down again. Karen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a devastating blow after everything she had already endured. She has spent much of this year in and out of hospitals, fighting not only for her health but for her stability and dignity.

Because of repeated hospitalizations, she missed critical deadlines with Social Security, and her disability benefits were suddenly cut off. She is now left with no income, facing the heartbreaking reality of losing her housing, utilities, medical care, and even her prescription coverage—all while battling cancer.

Social Security is reviewing her case, and we are hopeful her benefits will be reinstated. But until then, she has nothing coming in. She is under unimaginable stress, worrying about survival in more ways than one.

Karen has worked hard her whole life, including her most recent job as a cashier at a drugstore. She has never asked for much. Now, she needs us.
