Karen, tiene 48 años y ha estado luchando contra el cáncer de mama desde 2018. Se sometió a una mastectomía de la mama izquierda seguida de un tratamiento de quimioterapia y radioterapia y aparentemente estaba libre de cáncer en diciembre de 2020; sin embargo, en febrero de 2021 comenzó con una tos muy fuerte y dolor severo en el estómago y la parte inferior del cuerpo. La semana pasada, los médicos sugirieron una tomografía (PET Scan) para ver más de cerca su cuerpo; pero, lamentablemente esta exploración mostró que el cáncer se ha extendido por todo su cuerpo: cráneo, tráquea, pulmones, estómago y huesos. Todavía hay esperanza y los médicos sugieren más quimioterapia. Estamos organizando esta recaudación de fondos para apoyarla con medicamentos y otros gastos relacionados con su tratamiento.

Karen, is 48 years old and she has been battling with breast cancer since 2018. She got a mastectomy of her left breast followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment and apparently she was cancer free by December 2020; however in February 2021 she started with a really bad cough and severe pain in her stomach and lower body. Last week doctors suggested a PET scan to get a closer look; but unfortunately this scan showed that the cancer has spread throughout her whole body: skull, windpipe, lungs, stomach and bones. There is still hope and the doctors suggest more chemotherapy. We are organizing this fundraiser to support her with medicine and other expenses related to her treatment.
