Help Karen Heal: Overcoming Cancer Together

My sister Karen is one of the strongest, kindest, and most generous people I know. She’s a devoted mom, a passionate educator at the University of Louisville, and the heart behind a small business she runs from her home. She’s spent her life uplifting others, through her teaching, her creativity, and the genuine care she gives so freely.

Late last fall, Karen received the devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. Since then, her journey has been intense and relentless. She underwent a double mastectomy at the end of January, began chemotherapy in the spring, and is now going through radiation. Through it all, she has continued to show up for her son, her students, and her community, though the weight of it all has been immense.

Like so many facing cancer, Karen is now dealing with the staggering financial burden of treatment. Insurance only covers so much, and the costs of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and recovery are adding up fast. Balancing her health while continuing to teach and run her business has brought extra strain at a time when she most needs rest, healing, and peace of mind.

I’m reaching out on her behalf to ask for your support.
