If you know me, you know that my grandma Karen has been my whole world for as long as I can remember. I’ve watched her fight for her life three times, and now, in the middle of chemo, she’s fighting harder than ever.

Karen isn’t just my grandma. She’s a light in this world. She's everything to everyone. A woman who has spent her life bringing joy, love, and even life itself into the world. She built her career delivering babies, welcoming new life with warmth and care. And that’s exactly who she is. Someone who makes everything and everyone around her better.

She’s the kind of person who bakes special cakes for birthdays just to make sure everyone feels celebrated. The kind of person who will make lasagna in 100-degree heat just because it’s my favorite. The kind of person who, after finding out she had cancer, brought handmade jewelry to the hospital so every cancer patient could feel beautiful.

She’s also the kind of person who has taken in every stray, human or animal, without hesitation. The one who has rallied behind every person who needed someone in their corner, lifting them up with kindness and unwavering support. Now, she’s the one who needs rallying.

As she battles cancer for the third time, she needs our help. Just her medication alone costs $300 every three weeks. That doesn’t even include the cost of chemo and other treatments.
