My name is Pamela Villa, and I am based in Miami, Florida. I am organizing this fundraiser to support my friend Karam Fahmy Shaheen and their family, who are civilians currently located in Mawasi Khan Younis, Gaza. I have known Karam and his wife for years and am raising funds on their behalf because they are facing urgent hardship and limited access to basic necessities.

Karam Fahmy Shaheen and his wife, Amani Taym, have spent years building a life for their family in Gaza. Before the war, Karam owned a barbershop and Amani ran an online women's clothing store.

Their hard work provided stability for their three children: Saad, Ezz, and Kenzi, and Karam's elderly mother, Maysar, who suffers from chronic illnesses.

But everything changed when airstrikes destroyed their home, businesses, and all their belongings. This is not the first time they've faced devastation; their home was also destroyed in the 2008 war.

Now, after being displaced six times, they are sheltering in Mawasi Khan Younis, unable to return to Rafah, which has been completely destroyed. The family has lost not only their livelihood but also the sense of safety and hope for their children. Saad and Ezz have been deprived of their basic right to learn, play, and feel safe, losing their childhood to displacement and fear.

The heartbreak is compounded by the tragic loss of their first daughter, Ghina, who died in a traumatic accident after the 2021 war. Today, Karam and Amani's greatest fear is for the well-being of their remaining children, as the sounds of bombardment continue.

Donations to this fundraiser will help the family cover urgent daily necessities including food, clean drinking water, diapers, baby milk, and vital medication for Maysar.

Funds will also provide clothing and basic living supplies for all six family members, support education and mental health for Saad and Ezz, and help establish a small self-reliance project so they can rebuild their lives and become independent once again.

Your support is the stepping stone toward stability. Thank you for your humanity and for standing with them in their time of need and suffering.

Funds raised will be used only for civilian humanitarian needs, including food, clean water, medicine, hygiene supplies, baby/child necessities, temporary shelter, transportation for safety, and other urgent living expenses.

Because GoFundMe withdrawals are not available directly in Gaza, I will withdraw the funds to my U.S. bank account and send 100% of donations, minus GoFundMe/payment processing fees, directly to Karam Shaheen using the safest and most reliable transfer method available to him. I am in direct contact with Karam and will coordinate transfers based on what he can access. I will provide updates to donors whenever possible so supporters can see how funds are being sent and used.
