My family and I before the war that exhausted us

My name is Karam Kanaan, I am 24 years old from Gaza, living with my family of seven.

Since the war began, our lives have been completely turned upside down. Our home was destroyed, and we were displaced multiple times, living in tents before finally renting a small room where we live now.

During the bombing, several members of my family were injured, and I was affected by a powerful explosion that caused me to lose hearing in my right ear. I still suffer from hearing loss until today.

We struggle every day to afford basic needs such as food, water, medical care, and rent, which is $300 per month. My father suffers from a severe neurological illness, and my mother has a condition that causes painful skin irritation when exposed to sand.

I was also forced to stop my university studies in my final year due to financial difficulties, with around 1,700 Jordanian dinars in tuition debt remaining.

We are simply trying to survive and maintain a basic level of dignity under these harsh conditions.
