Hi, I’m Jason, and I’m organizing this for my sister, Kara Matson.

What happened

On 10/30/2025 around 4 pm, Kara was driving on Highway 94 when another car failed to yield into her lane. Kara hit them head-on. Her airbag deployed, and as you can see in the photos, her car is badly damaged. She was treated for widespread bruising and a mild concussion. We’re grateful she’s okay, but she’s been told to rest and avoid work until her symptoms clear.

Why we’re asking for help

Kara is a bartender who lives shift-to-shift. With no PTO and time off to recover, she won’t be able to cover rent due on the 5th plus a few essential bills. Keeping her housed while she heals is our first priority.

Timing & updates

We need to submit rent by the 5th to avoid late fees. I’ll post updates as Kara improves and when rent is paid, including screenshots/receipts so you can see exactly where your help went.
