My name is Kara, and I’m a single mom doing my best to provide for my son. For the past two years, I’ve been struggling to recover from a tax issue that led to the IRS placing a levy on my bank accounts. I’ve tried to handle everything on my own, but lately, it feels like I’m drowning. I’m behind on rent and utilities, and every day is a challenge to keep up with bills and put food on the table.
In April 2024, I had an unexpected medical emergency that resulted in an ambulance ride and more bills I just can’t keep up with. Now, with the holidays approaching and my son’s 11th birthday in January, I’m heartbroken at the thought of not being able to give him the celebration he deserves. I want nothing more than to see him smile and feel secure, even during these tough times.
I’m reaching out because I’m exhausted and overwhelmed. I’ve always been stubborn about asking for help, but I can’t do this alone anymore. Any support you can give will go directly toward medical bills, rent, utilities, food, and making sure my son is taken care of. I worked hard in college, got a masters degree, a good job, but it’s not enough these days doing it on your own. You fall behind and you drown, fast!!! Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you can share.
