Help Kara Get Stair Chairlifts

Hi this is Kara Hughes Salgado. I had brain surgery in August to remove a glioblastoma brain tumor. I now have mobility issues as a result, currently have lost use of my right leg. I am in an intense inpatient physical and occupational therapy program to gain strength and more mobility. They expect me to be released back home on December 24. If I am still using a wheelchair,  I will need to get into my house from the street, and then once in from the first floor to the second floor. I will need stair chair lifts installed, and they are quite expensive; so we are looking for any help we can get. Insurance doesn’t cover it, my health savings account won’t cover all of it. We will have  to dip into our family savings to fully finance the chair stair lifts inside and out… soooo that has pushed me reluctantly into going public with my cancer battle and creating this go fund me (at the urging of some caring friends).  Please help us out ONLY if you can truly afford to.  We are by no means  desperate here... we are lucky we do have savings.  You can also sign up for my blog if you’re interested in updates on my health status: https://karahughessalgado.wixsite.com/kara
