Kara’s & Anže’s Restart & Musicians Fundraiser

On January 7th, our home with all

of our belongings were lost in the devastating Palisades fire.

So many people reached out to us wanting to help and we are very thankful for the outpour of support.

Most heartbreaking was the loss of the first place we felt at home in Los Angeles after moving here 7 years ago as young film composers (Kara from New York & Anže from Slovenia). Palisades was a vibrant community where we felt safe and where we could enjoy the outdoors. It is devastating to see how our beautiful community was lost.

While we do feel incredibly fortunate that our music studios have not been affected by the fire, we would appreciate any support, as we have many things to replace and rebuild.

We also want to use this platform to shine a light on the composer community, and raise money for those who have been impacted by this disaster. So many of our colleagues were not as fortunate and lost their homes as well as their studios, which was their way of making a living. In order for them to replace their precious instruments and gear, it is essential that the community comes together to raise money and donate gear, instruments, computers, and anything that can help these composers get back to doing what they do best. We will be donating the surplus of donations to help musicians affected get back on their feet.
