Kara and her boys

As many of you know, Kara is the proud, devoted mother to both Liam and Kian. She is a single mom who works full time to provide all that she can for her 2 boys. 
Kian has Cystic Fibrosis, a progressive, genetic disease affecting mostly the lungs and digestive system. Often he has to miss school because he doesn’t feel well, has doctors appointments, or has to be hospitalized for varying lengths of time. Currently, he is in the hospital after having surgery for a collapsed lung. Kara often has to miss work so that she can tend to her son whenever needed.  As you can imagine, this is extremely stressful on her. There’s always the worry that she may lose her job given how much time she has to take off at any given moment. 

 Eve McMahon and I decided to start this fundraiser for Kara because we care about her very much and want to help alleviate some of the burden.  I know there are many people like us, who know Kara’s story, and want to help somehow. Kara is an amazing mother who stays strong through all of the uphill climbs she has to face over and over. Somehow, she keeps smiling and maintains her positive attitude. We truly don’t know how she does it.
