My dear friend, and fellow 706 Makeup Artist, 88 year old Kaori Turner, had a bad fire in her home last sunday. Thankfully she was able to get out unharmed. The men in this video who were at a party across the street noticed the flames and ran over to get her out. But now she needs help from us, her union brothers and sisters. Half of her house, all of her clothing, toiletrees, and personal items have been destroyed. If you now Kaori, you know her story of meeting Bill Turner, Steve McQueen's Makeup Artist, when she was a professional dancer in Japan and they were there filming the motion picture, The Sand Pebbles. They fell in love, got married and Bill taught her to be a body makeup artist in 706. Thats how I met Kaori and after Bill's death, we worked on many films together. She won an Emmy working with Angela Nogaro on Alias for an episode with beautiful Geisha makeups. Kaori has given so much to fellow makeup artists and hair stylists over the span of her career, that it is my hope we can now help her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️
