Help Kanya Fight Cancer: A Journey of Strength & Hope

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

It is with a heavy heart that we share that Kanya, a cherished friend, mother, and Freedom Writer, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This diagnosis comes after 16 months of enduring what started as a simple case of sinus issues and allergies, with a swollen lymph node that turned out to be far more serious. Despite countless tests and doctors' visits, it wasn't until recently that Kanya received this life-altering diagnosis.

Kanya is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, but due to the location of the cancer and the invasive nature of the tumor, surgery is not an option. As she battles this disease, she is facing the emotional and financial weight of medical bills, treatments, and the challenges of being out on leave from work. Kanya has always been independent, self-sufficient, and a survivor. But now, more than ever, she needs our support.

Kanya shared, “I’m not good about asking for help. I’ve been a survivor all my life, and I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d need to rely on anyone. It’s still hard for me to believe this is happening. I want to get through this, go back to school, finish my Waldorf University classes, see my son graduate college…these are things I want to experience.”
