Help Kansas Recover from Naproxen Poisoning

Story

Hi, my name is Kindall and I have a golden mountain dog—part golden retriever, part Bernedoodle. Her name is Kansas and she is 2 1/2 years old. She is quite literally my best friend; we share everything. Kansas loves to play and chew on her toys, specifically plastic ones. On Wednesday, she got into my bag and chewed up my prescription bottle of Naproxen tablets. The medicine was from December, so I completely forgot it was in there. We don’t know how many she ingested. We ended up calling our vet that day, and he said to watch for vomiting and stomach issues. After looking online and discovering how bad Naproxen was for dogs, we called the Pet Poison Control. They told my mom 1 tablet could be fatal for a dog, even a 90 lb dog like her. They recommended we take her to an emergency vet. She has been at the Emergency Vet hospital since then. Naproxen can damage the dog's kidneys along with causing all kinds of stomach problems, including vomiting, diarrhea, and ulcers. She is now going on day 5 in the hospital. Luckily, her kidneys were not affected. However, she has been having extreme diarrhea and blood in her stool. She has been on IVs and getting lots of medicine to protect her kidneys, treat the diarrhea, and heal her stomach. The extensive diarrhea has caused her bottom to be swollen and red to the point they are doing light therapy to heal the wounds. We are trying to get her to eat so they don’t have to give her a feeding tube. I was able to visit her today. Her hospital bill so far has been $6200. When she comes home, she will be on medicine still to heal her stomach and prevent infection. She will most likely need more light therapy treatments to heal her wound on her bottom from the diarrhea. The doctor called them fecal scalds. I would do anything to save my dog. I will be going to college in August and have been saving for that already. I am too stubborn to let my parents pay for my dog’s bill. Besides, they are helping me with college and I have a twin sister also going to college. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to help me out, please check your house and make sure no Naproxen is where your dog can get it. I would not want anyone else to experience this. Kansas is my world and I just want her better and home.
