Help Kansas City Parents of 5 Kids After Tragic Shooting

This fundraiser was created by a concerned family member, but will be transferred directly to the family's bank account.

This Kansas City family of 7 needs our help after the parents were victims of a shooting outside of their apartment complex on May 5, 2025. Miss Wright and her boyfriend, were about to head out to make some DoorDash deliveries when someone shot at their car. Miss Wright was shot in the face, the bullets flying over the heads of her 1-year-old and 4-year-old children. Her boyfriend was shot in the arm and foot. Luckily, he was able to jump in the driver's seat and rush the family to Research Medical Center. Miss Wright and her boyfriend have 5 kids together, and they don't feel safe going back to their apartment complex as no arrests have been made and the perpetrators of the attack live in that complex.

Now the family is looking for new housing and trying to heal from their injuries. They are unable to work as they are healing. Any donations will help them cover relocation costs, like a deposit for a new, safer place to stay, cover the cost of property damage to their only family car, and take care of their kids' basic necessities while they are out of work due to their injuries.

This family is working hard to get back on their feet and keep their kids safe. Every bit makes a difference. Thank you for supporting them and their precious children (ages 1 to 7).
