Kanon has an opportunity to go to a three week intensive physical therapy program this summer at Fortis Therapy Center in Dripping Springs, TX.
In the 3 week intensive, he would go in for 3 hours, 5 days/week, compared to his usual sessions at home being 1 hour a week.
Fortis Therapy Center has a non profit specialized therapy program to children with some of the best techniques & newest technologies that aren't necessarily offered with traditional therapy. They have a major focus on kids with neurological disorders and helping those that are delayed make some major gains. It's likely that kids will make more progress in those 3 weeks compared to 12 months of traditional therapy.
Kanon was born with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. It affects both of his legs and causes him to tighten and contract his muscles. Because of this, he is unable to walk and do typical day to day things independently. While the condition is permanent, it can change over time. There is no known cure, only treatments and therapies.
Not only will he gain a lot of strength from receiving so much therapy, but we also learn about so much new equipment that can be beneficial to him.
Any money donated will be used towards travel expenses and any equipment that isn't covered under insurance. Thank you all so much for supporting our sweet boy! God bless you all!
