Kano is my 11 year old dog and truly my only family here in Korea. I adopted him from the pound 10 years ago, and he has been by my side through everything. Last night, out of nowhere, Kano was in pain all night, and I rushed him to the vet as soon as I could. The news was devastating: he had three tumors on his spleen, one of which is 4 inches. They have surgically removed his spleen, however, to make things even more difficult, he is anemic and will require blood transfusions to survive.
Kano is not just my companion. He has become an integral part of my identity. He has made many friends and fans over the years who adore his sweet personality. The bond we share is truly special, and he means the world to me.
The expenses have already been overwhelming. I have spent a significant amount so far on his surgery, CT scan, blood work, ultrasounds, x-rays, and Kano will need to be hospitalized for almost a week. He will require additional funds for blood transfusions, ongoing hospitalization, and potentially chemotherapy if the tumor ends up being malignant. I want to do everything I can to give Kano the best possible care and the best chance at survival, but the costs are more than I can manage alone.
I am reaching out for help because Kano means the world to me. Any support, no matter how small, will go directly to his surgery, hospitalization, and recovery. Thank you!
