Kane is a 4-year-old Malamute who has already been through so much in his young life. Rescued from a very bad situation, he now faces new challenges—he’s having difficulty walking, is heartworm positive, and weighs 110 pounds. Despite his tough start, Kane’s spirit shines through, but he is currently in a lot of pain and needs urgent medical care. A Malamute rescue group may be able to help with a grant for his care, including surgery if needed, but first, Kane needs an exam and X-rays to determine exactly what’s wrong. His veterinarian suspects hip dysplasia, which is causing him significant discomfort and making it hard for him to get around. In addition to the pain, Kane also needs heartworm medication to address his positive diagnosis. The funds raised here will go directly toward Kane’s exam, X-rays, pain medication, and heartworm treatment. This immediate care is the first step toward any additional treatment or surgery he may need. Kane will be seen at Loris Animal Hospital on Friday, March 13 but they will not take payments over the phone until he is seen. Unfortunately, payment is due at time of service so any donations prior to March 13 are much appreciated. With your support, Kane can become pain free, regain his ability to walk, and have another chance at living a happy, healthy life. Kane’s owner would be very appreciative of any kindness shown by way of donations. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings Kane closer to the care he desperately needs. Thank you for considering helping Kane on his journey to recovery.
