Help Kane Fight for His Life

I don’t normally ask for help but this is something I couldn’t live with if I didn’t at least try. My dog, Kane, is not doing well right now. He has been in the hospital since 7/3 due to extremely high calcium levels. Over the past month he developed a bad rash on his face and in the last week he started to refuse to eat and have low energy levels. If you know Kane at all you know that’s very unlike him lol.

At the moment, we’re still very much in the finding out stage. So far his tests have not been very revealing and we need further testing to understand what’s on, let alone treating the actual condition. Some of the things the vet thinks it could be are cancer, Addison’s disease, a parathyroid tumor, ingestion of a poison that we were unaware he got into, a systemic fungal infection, or an idiopathic cause (unknown cause). Some of these conditions are much more treatable than others, and all we can do is hope for the best.

Kane is only 2 years old and he doesn’t deserve to die. He is such a good boy and everyone that meets him loves him. He has gotten me through so much over the past 2 years and he is truly my best friend. It would really mean a lot if you would be able to donate or share this. Hopefully he will make it through this and continue to be the best dog for many years to come.
