Kane is my beloved dog, and recently, I noticed a small lump on his hind leg. At first, I thought it might be a simple abscess from a sticker, but as the days went by, the lump grew larger and started to really bother Kane. After a visit to the vet and some tests, we received the heartbreaking news that Kane has osteosarcoma—an aggressive form of bone cancer. The mass is located right above his joint, and the only way to give him a better quality of life is to have the affected area amputated. Depending on whether the cancer has spread, Kane may need further treatment as well.

This diagnosis has been incredibly tough on our family, especially since we've already been through so much recently. In the beginning of March, I was in a car accident and am still on the mend myself. It's been a challenging time, both emotionally and financially. I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for help, but Kane means the world to me, and I want to do everything I can to give him the best chance at a happy, healthy life.
