My name is Kandy, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a really tough time. I recently ended a relationship with my ex-boyfriend, and while it was the right decision for me and my fur babies, it’s left us in a difficult spot. He took back the propane heater we relied on, and now, as the weather turns cold and rainy, my five chihuahuas, my service dog, and I are without heat. I’m disabled and on a fixed income, and it’s heartbreaking to see my babies shiver when all I want is to keep them safe and warm.

To make things even harder, I just found out that the mobile home park where we live has been sold, so we’ll have to move in the next couple of weeks. But right now, my main priority is getting heat for my little family. The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward a new propane wall heater and enough propane to get us through the next few weeks while I figure out our next steps. Finding housing with five chihuahuas and a service dog isn’t easy, but I can’t focus on that until I know we’re safe and warm.

I’m usually the one who helps others, but right now, I’m lost and need help for myself and my fur babies. I don’t want to have to rely on anyone who doesn’t treat us with kindness just to stay warm.
