Our amazing mother, Kandy suffered an aortic dissection while at work as a CNA caring for others. She was luckily at work at the Veterans hospital and was able to quickly get help but was not able to be seen there. She was quickly transferred to an ER and given many tests and bloodwork panels. After discovering she was in a life or death situation, she was rushed into emergency open heart surgery. Surgery went well, although had to get some donor blood, but the recovery will be very long. She will no longer be working, living on her own, or living the life she once had. We are still waiting on more tests, CTs, and an official heart disease diagnosis or other diagnosis.
Our mom is the best grandmother to her five grandkids, and love her three girls endlessly. We are all working together to figure out unemployment, disability, and moving all of her stuff out asap.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Rehab is a possibility, as well as medical costs, and moving expenses while all of the sisters are in town trying to get affairs sorted.
