Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out on behalf of one of my very best friends and chosen big sister, Kandi — someone who has always been a light in the lives of everyone she meets. Whether it’s showing up when someone’s in need, offering a kind word, or lending her time and energy without hesitation, Kandi has always been there for others. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

Kandi was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, compounded by a genetic condition called Lynch Syndrome. This devastating news has come with even more challenges ahead: she is scheduled for a complex, multi-surgeon operation in late August and will require at least 6 weeks to recover. Unfortunately, she does not have access to paid leave or medical benefits to help cover the cost of living during her recovery.

Her husband, who has been her rock, cannot afford to take extended time off to care for her, making this journey even more difficult for them both.

We are asking for your help to raise $10,000 to help ease the financial burden during this critical time. Your donations will go directly toward:

-Household expenses while Kandi is out of work

-Travel to and from medical appointments which

are an hour and a half away

-Medical-related costs not covered by insurance

-Basic support to help her family stay afloat while they focus on healing
