Help Kanchha See the World With Love Again

Hi friends, family, funders and pawrents!

This is Kanchha. He’s a tiny Chihuahua with a huge story of survival. Before he came into my life, Kanchha went through more than any dog should ever have to endure. He was passed between multiple owners, abused, and even spent months homeless after losing his way—wandering blind because of cataracts that clouded his vision.

You can still see the weight of his past in the way his tail tucks when he hears a new voice, the panic if I stay quiet for too long on a walk, or the way he flinches when a hand moves toward him. It’s heartbreaking to think anyone could hurt such a gentle soul. And yet—despite it all—he is still the sweetest boy.

I’ve had Kanchha for two years now, and slowly, I’ve watched his spirit begin to return. He doesn’t bark much, but lately when we play, his Chihuahua side peeks through: he growls and barks with joy. His morale is stronger than ever, but his body is failing him. His cataracts are worsening, stealing the little independence he has fought so hard to reclaim.

The surgery that could restore his sight is possible, but the cost is more than I can carry alone. That’s why I’m reaching out—for help to give Kanchha another chance. Another chance to see me, to play without fear, and most importantly, to see the love that finally surrounds him.
