Dear family, friends, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out to ask for your help and support for our beloved wife, mother, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Amaka Ruth Onyenania.
Back on December 12, 2021, our lives changed forever. Amaka—a vibrant and resilient financial analyst and a devoted mother—suffered a sudden, severe hemorrhagic stroke caused by high blood pressure. In an instant, a silent medical emergency turned our world upside down, requiring emergency brain surgery and a grueling battle just to keep her alive.
At home waiting and praying through all these years is our precious daughter, Kamsi, who was just almost 2years old when her mum fell ill and is now 6years old. More than anything in the world, little Kamsi’s greatest wish is to see her mum stand up from her wheelchair, walk, and play with her again.
Through sheer faith, incredible strength, and months spent fighting in the ICU, HDI, and regular hospital wards, Amaka survived. She has fought hard to regain her memory, her speech, and her spirit. But the journey is far from over.
To give Amaka the fighting chance she truly deserves, she urgently needs to transition into a specialized care home and rehabilitation facility in Nigeria that can provide round-the-clock nursing care and intensive, professional therapy. Her path to full recovery depends heavily on three vital programs:
Physiotherapy to rebuild her physical strength and help her leave the wheelchair behind.
Occupational Therapy to assist her in regaining everyday independence.
Speech Therapy to further support her communication and recovery.
Over the past few years, the medical expenses, surgeries, and ongoing care have accumulated immensely, placing a heavy financial strain on our family.
We are humbly asking for your financial support, donations, or even just sharing this campaign link to help Amaka get the specialized rehabilitation she desperately needs.
Every single contribution brings Kamsi one step closer to seeing her mum walk again.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and generosity during this long and challenging journey.
With deep gratitude,
Ikechukwu Onyenania, Amaka’s Husband for the Family.
