Help Kamryn Fight for Team USA in China!

Our daughter, Kamryn, has earned a spot on Team USA and will compete at the 2026 World Junior Wushu Championships in Tianjin, China (March 23–31, 2026). Not only is she the only U.S. female athlete in the Sanda fighting division, but at 15, she will be one of the youngest female Sanda athletes in her category on the world stage. She earned this incredible honor after qualifying at just 14 years old.
If you’ve never heard of Wushu, you’re not alone; but you’ve definitely seen its influence . Wushu is the modern, international form of Chinese martial arts and Kamryn competes in Sanda, its full-contact fighting style.
Think of Sanda as an ancestor to modern MMA. It combines the explosive striking of kickboxing with the takedowns of wrestling, and has been a foundation for some of the most skilled stikers in combat sports (like MMA legend Cung Le). It an extremely demanding sport that requires strength, strategy, and courage.

The World Junior Championships are the highest level of competition for young Wushu athletes worldwide, recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Qualifying is extremely difficult, and representing Team USA is a rare honor.
Her Journey
Kamryn trains year-round at Meng’s Martial Arts in Huber Heights, Ohio, under former world champions who push her to grow as both an athlete and a young woman. She spends countless hours refining technique, building strength, and sparring with teammates who have also qualified to compete internationally.
"It's a little intimidating being the only girl from the U.S. in my division, but it’s also an amazing opportunity. I know this is a huge challenge, but I've been training for this moment and I'm ready to give it everything I have." — Kamryn
For Kamryn, this isn’t just about medals. It’s about testing her limits, representing her country, and learning from the best athletes in the world.
Coached by Champions at Meng's Martial Arts
A huge part of Kamryn's success is the world-class training she receives at Meng’s Martial Arts in Huber Heights, Ohio. This isn't just a local dojo; it's a center of excellence for Wushu in the United States, known for producing elite-level athletes.
Kamryn is mentored by Master Meng and his team of instructors, who are former world champions themselves. They carry a legacy of competitive success and know firsthand what it takes to win on the international stage. Their coaching goes beyond physical technique—they instill the discipline, mental toughness, and strategic mindset required to compete at the highest level.
The fact that several of Kamryn's teammates have also qualified for international competition is a testament to the incredible standard of training at Meng's. When you support Kamryn, you are also placing your trust in a team of coaches with a proven track record of turning dedicated students into world-class champions.
