On August 3rd, my son Kameron (25) was struck and run over by a Jeep while sitting on his dirt bike in Harvey, Louisiana. In a single moment, his entire life changed. Kameron has always been strong, Active, (with a capital ‘A’ )and hardworking, but this accident left him with a severely broken leg, multiple surgeries, and a long recovery ahead.
Before the accident, Kameron was proudly serving his community as a full-time firefighter. Hes just finishing his first year after choosing a career dedicated to protecting others, and now he’s fighting to rebuild his own life.
Since the accident, he’s undergone multiple surgeries, is currently in physical therapy, and still taking it day by day, researching ways to support his own healing. He’s working hard, staying focused, and doing everything he can to recover, but he cannot return to work yet.
To make things even more challenging, the driver who caused the accident is currently in prison, and we have still not been provided the vehicle or insurance information needed to file claims. Without that, Kameron has no support coming in, and no compensation process has begun.
For the past couple of months, Kameron has used his savings to cover his rent, car, and basic bills. He stretched it as far as he could, but now everything is falling behind, and he needs help to stay afloat while he heals.
A few things he will use the funds to cover are
• Rent
• Car note&insurance
• Utilities
• Food & other essentials
• Medical and recovery-related costs
Kameron is strong, but recovery is expensive. Until he’s cleared to return to work and until the legal process moves forward, he has no income and no financial relief coming from the responsible party.
Im creating this GoFundMe to help him stabilize and focus solely on healing, without stress and the fear of losing everything he’s worked for.
Any amount will make a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this link is also a blessing and certainly appreciated. Kameron is deeply grateful for every prayer, message, and act of kindness during this time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my son.
