On September 5th, my world stopped. I found my 13-year-old son, Kameron, unresponsive, convulsing, and bleeding on the floor. At first, I thought he had hit his head — but soon, doctors gave us news that changed everything: Kameron had suffered a severe seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy.

Since then, he has undergone testing, including an abnormal EEG and MRI. He now requires daily medication, constant monitoring, and regular neurology appointments. Some of his specialized care will take us to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), meaning additional travel costs and ongoing expenses.

As a single mom, I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for him, but the truth is: it takes a village. This diagnosis is a lifelong journey, and Kameron deserves every chance at the best care and safety possible.
