Help Kamel's Family Lay Him to Rest

Kamel Mallek passed away the morning of December 4, 2021 after a series of complex medical complications over the preceding months. He is survived by his mother, Malika Mallek in Woodbridge, a son and daughter living in France, and 3 daughters living in Virginia and New York.

Kamel was born and raised in Algiers, Algeria, serving in the Algerian Air Force and later becoming a senior pilot for Air Algerie. Faced with the Algerian civil war, Kamel brought his family to seek safety in America, where he later became a senior database manager in Washington DC.

Kamel had the soul of a child, always smiling, making jokes and thankful for whatever came his way. He was most proud of his beloved children and his dear mother. He will be missed by many, many close friends and family in Algeria, France, and his adopted country, America.

Kamel’s family is in great need of help to pay for the significant medical expenses incurred over the recent months and now, for his burial expenses. Any support, thoughts, and prayers will be greatly appreciated.
