Please help me rebuild my stolen college fund. Recently, I was the victim of a criminal scam that depleted my entire college and life savings. I was led to believe that my social security number had been stolen and that my name was now connected to a high profile out of state crime scene. I was convinced that I was speaking directly with police authorities in Texas. I was assured that if I didn’t cooperate and keep the situation secret, I could be arrested or hinder their investigation resulting in the loss of a “dangerous criminal”. Subsequently, the real criminals were able to acquire all $23,000.00 that I had saved for college and future needs. We have gone through our local police authorities, our bank, other agencies involved and have exhausted all other possible options to get my money back. Unfortunately, the intelligence and severity of this crime made it impossible to trace the perpetrators or the stolen money.
I have been diligently working hard over the last 5 years to build up this savings to put towards my college expenses and future. Upon graduating from high school two years ago I choose to live at home and work full time as a food server while also taking a full course load at Diablo Valley Junior College. I made this decision to optimize my ability to save money. A portion of this money was put aside to fund a semester abroad this fall through my junior college program. I planned to use the remaining funds to help support myself when I transfer to a four year college next spring.
At this point we are turning to you: our family, friends, and community. If you are able to help in any way to support our efforts to rebuild this lost money, all donated funds are greatly appreciated!
Much Love!
