Shelter dog Kamali

Kamali is a 10-year-old dog that was surrendered to the shelter this summer. My friend, who fosters frequently, saw a post that he wasn’t doing well in the shelter, and she went and picked him up a few months ago.

He’s a great dog, well-behaved, and gets along with everyone.

They knew he needed some dental work done and were told that it would probably only be a few hundred dollars. They decided to officially adopt Kamali last month because he’s bonded to the family after they had no offers for anyone else to adopt and wanted to give him a good home.

They just got a few quotes to get his teeth fixed (he has several severely decayed teeth and he’s clearly in pain). And surprisingly, the quotes are all close to $2000.

My friend continuously fosters dogs and always does what’s right by them. This kind of expense is not something planned, and I would like to try to help her cover the cost.

Even if you only have $5 to $10 to donate, it would go a long way towards making this 10-year-old dog's last few years less painful.
