Family of 5 in Need After Recent Storm and Flood Destruction
Donation protected
Last week's storms brought catastrophic flooding to our community (Wichita/Andover), and a dear family friend of ours (and Kallie's bestie) has been hit especially hard. The Clark's home took on extensive water damage, destroying the entire main floor. Furniture, clothing, flooring—everything was covered in mud and is now unsalvageable.
This family of five—including two teenage girls, a 10-year-old boy, and their three dogs, and of course Mom and Dad—has lost nearly all of their belongings. While they've been incredibly grateful for a generous neighbor offering temporary shelter, it's far from ideal for a family of this size and situation. Their flood insurance doesn't cover temporary housing, and other insurance support has yet to come through.
The damage is still being fully assessed, but so far they know they'll need to:
Find a safe, clean place to stay during this process
Clothing and misc daily needs
Completely replace the main floor subflooring
Rebuild significant portions of their A-frame roof
Restore or replace walls, furniture, flooring...
It's hard to put into words the emotional and financial toll this has taken on the family. They're doing everything they can to stay strong for their kids—but they need our help.
We're raising funds to help with temporary housing, emergency essentials, and early repair costs until insurance (hopefully) catches up. Every dollar will go directly to the family to help them begin putting their lives back together.
Please donate if you're able—and even if you can't, sharing this with your community would mean the world.
Thank you for your generosity and support. ❤
