My name is Kallene Clark, and I am from Motor City, Detroit, Michigan. I have lived there all my life. I recently had to travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I have lived for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, I had to attend a criminal court case in which I was involved in a domestic violence relationship. Things went well; however, the case has been continued until March, and I will have to return. It is important to me because it is the first time I have ever experienced abuse at the hands of a domestic partner, and I know I'm not the first or the last. I feel it necessary to see this to the end and make sure that this abuser is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I am going to return to Detroit because I have many possibilities for a full, happy life with my friends and family. However, to do this, I will need help in making the vehicle that I left here road-ready. I need tires, a tune-up, an oil change; if you've traveled, I'm sure you know the checklist. I will also need to cover some travel expenses with the DMV. So today, I'm asking for your help in making sure that I can arrive home safely with my vehicle within the next coming weeks. It is important to me to try and have the vehicle back home as I have employment lined up when I return. The vehicle will help greatly in enabling me to get back and forth as needed.
