Hello, my name is Wendell. I'd like for you to meet my youngest daughter, Kalise. She has a condition known as lazy eye, also called by its medical term, Strabismus. We have tried a number of techniques to try and fix the issue, but nothing has seemed to work so far. Kalise has lost or misplaced a couple of pairs of glasses. I don't believe she misplaces them on purpose because she may not like to wear them. She's always been pretty excited when she can see the board in school and can complete her work without a problem. I have tried the back-and-forth pencil exercise where you hold up a pencil and have her follow it with her eyes only. I think she gets fatigued before it can have any effectiveness.

We are fundraising to cover the costs of this surgery and give Kalise the chance to see clearly.
