~~~UPDATE FROM KALINA ON 11/3 ~~~
Thank you all for the love and support. I’ve given this battle to God, and He has truly been my strength through this tough time. I’ve received notice that, due to my improvement, I may be transferred to a rehabilitation center by the end of the week. They’ll be clarifying whether I’ll need reconstruction surgery on my wrist, and the orthopedic team will be observing and evaluating each injury today.
Your donations and prayers mean so much to me — more than words can express. As much as you all are praying for me, please know that you are also in my prayers.
Godspeed, and may God bless each and every one of us.
Kalina, a beloved NISD bus driver, was in a horrific accident on her way to work on a dark, rainy morning, October 24th. She is currently in the hospital at JPs, and her fiancé is with her. Levi states, "She’s doing good; she can talk and breathe on her own. She had a rod put in one leg and a wire and a rod put in the other due to it being worse off. She’s going in for an MRI on her spine later tonight." Doctors are unsure of the extent of her injuries to her spine or spinal cord. They did see a fracture to her spine in an x-ray but are still investigating the damages to her spinal cord.
Kalina will have a long road ahead of her trying to recover from this accident. She has 3 kiddos, London, 11; Kaiden, 9; and Kingsley, 6. Kalina was a hard worker and will definitely feel the loss of income in her immediate future. Anything that you can donate to this sweet family to help ease the burden of the immense expenses she is facing is greatly appreciated.
