Hi, I'm Kalib Kelley, 62 years old. I have my wife and two beautiful daughters who are my greatest support. I've always been self-sufficient and never imagined I'd be asking for help, but life has taken an unexpected turn. I have pulmonary fibrosis, which is scarring on the lungs that restricts oxygen from entering my bloodstream and makes it hard to remove CO2. I'm currently going through all the testing required to be put on the list for a double lung transplant.
In 2010, I survived cancer and the chemotherapy that almost took my life. Thankfully, my recent checkups show I'm still clear. My lung issues began with a persistent cough, and after many treatments and a lung biopsy, I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. I've been on medication and oxygen for four years, but there is no cure—only ways to slow its progression. I had to quit work 18 months ago and am now on disability, which covers my regular bills but not the mounting medical expenses.
I'm a country boy at heart and love hunting, fishing, and riding my motorcycle. My wife and daughters ride too, and we cherish the memories of our trips together. I look forward to making more memories once I recover from a double lung transplant. I am asking for your help now. The costs of doctor visits, tests, surgery, medications, and travel are overwhelming. I know times are tough for everyone, but any donation, prayer, or share of my story means the world to me. All funds raised will go directly to my medical expenses, and I'll provide weekly updates on my progress. Thank you and God bless everyone.
