My daughter Kalia was recently burned on her face, neck, arms, and hands during an overnight shift at work and is in significant pain, both physically and mentally. Her husband Kyle has had to take time off to care for her, and neither are receiving pay during this period. While we expect Kalia to receive Workman’s Comp. eventually, it will not cover her full wages.
