Help Kali with surgery

Hi, my name is Lorna and I am Kali’s (13.6 month old Chihuahua mix) mom. In July of 2019, my cousin’s daughter noticed a growth on Kali’s right paw. I took Kali to the vet and they told me that it was a benign growth … fast forward to December 2021, this growth has grown exponentially and I took her to a different veterinarian yesterday and he told me that the growth needs to be removed and her toe will need to be amputated and because of her age she needs a series of tests done before any surgery can be performed. She has developed a heart murmur as well and requires an x-ray to ensure that she can go under anesthesia, she also has gum disease and will require some work on that as well. since she will be under, he said it’s best to do everything at once and not put her through two series of anesthesia.

Last year, I had surgery on my thoracic spine due to a malignant tumor that was removed and I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is a blood cancer and since my diagnosis, I have had several rounds of chemo, a stem cell transplant and will hopefully, be receiving another stem cell transplant in January 2022 once the Veterans Administration approves it. Since my diagnosis, I am unemployable and therefore on a fixed income.

I am creating this go fund me page for Kali to help cover the expenses associated with her treatment and surgery since currently I am financially unable to do so.

Being a veteran, I don’t like to ask for help but I will go to hell and back for my canine… could you please be so kind and help me to help Kali get through her rough time as she did with me when I went through mine? Kali means the world to me and she deserves everything this life has to offer and more.
