Help Kali & Roman

Hello everyone!

My name is Kali Herzog and I am here to graciously ask for your help. I am a single mother of a 2 year old little boy. My son is my inspiration to strive to beat cancer and to continue living my life for him.

On January 8 2021, I found out I was diagnosed with gastric cancer. Survival rate of this cancer is only about 15%. I had just turned 24, and my son was only about to be one year old. Along with this awful disease, I was also informed at some point that I had tested positive for a rare gene that many doctors do not know all of its entirety. Things moved fast and I got my stomach removed Jan 26, four days after my baby just turned one. I am still in recovery from this, but as of Jan 24, 2022, two days after my son turned two, I had to go for a bilateral mastectomy. I had to do this because with the rare gene mutation I have, it is inevitable that I will develop breast cancer. I chose to get this done now, so my child doesn't have to endure any more pain that he doesn't even know exists.

While we feel blessed to have been able to have benefits and donations in the past, we need your help again as we have another year of many, many trips to Pittsburgh, many more scans, and appointments.
