Help Kali Rebuild After Devastating Accident

Hi, my name is Amy. I’m writing this on behalf of my friend and schoolmate, Kali. She is a single mother of three amazing children under 6, whose life was upended in a second by a car accident. No fault of her own.

A little back story: Kali solely supports her children herself and 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a rainbow shark. So all of this is just too overwhelming. That’s why I’m trying this last-ditch plea. Kali is now recovering from an injury that required surgery and the loss of one of her fingers.

In just one moment, everything changed. The lifeline she used to get her kids to school, go to her own classes (college), to get to work, and to doctors' appointments (surgery is high maintenance) — was completely destroyed. Their sweet family dog was badly hurt in the crash. Thankfully, she has made strides in recovery.

She has always been one of the strongest people I know — balancing school, raising three kids on her own, and doing everything possible to build a better life for them. Right now, she can’t do this alone. She’s in pain, trying to heal, and at the same time trying to figure out how to keep her children’s lives from being turned upside down even more than they already have been.

The funds raised will go directly toward replacing her car, covering medical bills, and supporting her kids and their dog as they recover from this traumatic event.
