I never thought I would have to ask for help with my home again.

A lot of you were here the last time we were fighting to save this house from foreclosure. You watched me fight for it, and so many of you stepped up and helped us get through it. I will never be able to fully explain how much that meant to me.

And now, somehow, we’re here again.

This isn’t just a house to me.

This is the house I grew up in. My dad lived here, and this is the home where he passed away. Now I’m raising my four children here, and getting to watch them grow up in the same place I did means everything to me.

After we were able to save the house before, we still had a huge problem. The house was in such bad condition that it was considered unlivable, which meant it couldn’t qualify for any mortgage.

We were forced to take out a $350,000 hard-money loan so we could take over the existing mortgage and do repairs and renovations needed to make the house livable. The plan was always to finish the renovations and refinance into a traditional mortgage.

We really thought we had a way forward.

But the renovations took much longer than expected, and they ended up costing more than we planned. By the time we were in a position to refinance, we couldn’t get the traditional loan we had planned on.

We’ve tried to find another way. We’ve looked into refinancing, other financing options, forebearance, loan modification.

But right now, none of those options can solve the immediate problem we’re facing.

We need $29,949.95 to reinstate the loan and stop the foreclosure. If we miss that deadline, the foreclosure accelerates on October 8

I know those numbers are a lot.

And I know some people will wonder why we don’t just sell the house.

The truth is, selling it isn’t as simple as selling the house and starting over. We have the debt on the property, other debt we’ve taken on trying to keep everything together, and the costs involved with selling. We don’t expect to have enough left afterward to simply buy another home for our family.

That would mean losing the home we’ve fought so hard to keep, and still having to figure out where our family of six is going to go.

I’m not ready to give up on it.

I hate having to ask for help again. Especially after so many of you already helped us the first time.

But I’m asking because we’re running out of options, and I believe this house is still worth fighting for.

If you can donate, even $5 or $10 helps us get closer.

If you can’t donate, I completely understand. Sharing this fundraiser may be just as important. You never know who might see it, or who might be able to help.

I’m not asking anyone to fix our entire financial situation.

I’m asking for help getting through this immediate crisis so we can keep our home and have the chance to find a permanent solution.

This is where I grew up.

This is where my dad lived.

This is where I lost my dad.

And now it’s where my children are growing up.

I just want them to have the chance to keep making memories here.

Thank you for reading this, sharing it, donating if you’re able, and especially to everyone who has stood by us through all of this.

We’re not giving up yet.
