Hi, we’re Kade and Theo—parents to two amazing, resilient kids: Kalen (12) and Joshua (17).

Kalen has Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair full time. Joshua has Evans Syndrome and ALPS, two rare autoimmune disorders, and also relies on a wheelchair for daily life. Both of our children require frequent trips to medical appointments, therapies, and school—and right now, transporting them is one of the hardest parts of our day.

We currently drive a standard minivan, which means lifting two heavy wheelchairs and transferring both kids in and out manually. This is physically exhausting and unsafe—not just for them, but also for us. Theo, their dad, is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, which makes lifting and loading increasingly difficult and painful. We're doing our best, but it's taking a toll on our family.

What we need most is a wheelchair accessible vehicle—a van with a ramp or lift that can safely transport both kids without disassembly or heavy lifting. This would mean everything to us: safer trips, less stress, and the ability to say yes more often to family outings and important appointments.

Unfortunately, these vans are incredibly expensive, even used. We’re reaching out to our community for help in raising enough to purchase a reliable accessible van that fits both Kalen and Joshua’s needs.
