Our sweet 5 year old dog, Kalel, is currently fighting for his life after being exposed to toxic residue from a household flea bomb.

Despite following every safety precaution, something went terribly wrong and Kalel has suffered severe neurological damage. We are pursuing action against the manufacturer, but right now our priority is keeping Kalel alive and getting him the urgent care he needs.

Kalel has developed a serious spinal lesion, and veterinary doctors are working to determine whether it was caused by the poisoning or triggered an underlying condition. What we do know is that the damage is significant:

* He is non-ambulatory (unable to walk)

* Paraplegic, with no voluntary movement in his hind legs

* Experiencing overflow incontinence, requiring us to manually assist him

* Showing signs of thoracolumbar spinal pain and curvature

* Exhibiting major neurological deficits, though he still has deep pain sensation a hopeful sign

Kalel is currently undergoing extensive testing, scans, pain management, and lipid therapy to fight the toxin in his system. His medical team is working around the clock to stabilize him and determine the best treatment path.

We have already paid several thousand pounds in emergency bills just to get him to this point. Unfortunately, the next steps including advanced imaging, continued hospitalization, and potential surgery are far beyond what we can cover on our own right now.

Kalel is only five years old. He is gentle, goofy, unbelievably loving, and has so much life left to live. He deserves every fighting chance to recover, and we are doing everything in our power to make that possible.
