My name is Kaleigha Buckius, and I’m a Black transgender woman who has spent years performing, helping others, and fighting to make my community a better place. But now, I’m homeless, scared, and struggling to find hope.
I’ve always been the one to give—whether through my art, my voice, or my time. I’ve performed at benefits, supported causes, and tried to be a light for others. But now, I’m the one in the dark. I’ve lost everything, and the weight of this world feels unbearable.
I’m not on drugs. I’m just a human being who has hit rock bottom. I’m cold, hungry, and tired of fighting alone. I don’t like asking for help, but I have no choice. I need a safe place to sleep, food to eat, and a chance to rebuild my life.
Please, if you can, help me. Your kindness could mean the difference between survival and despair. Every dollar, every share, every prayer matters. I’m begging for a lifeline—a chance to keep going.
Thank you for seeing me, for hearing me, and for caring.
