We’re reaching out to ask for help for our dear friend, who is going through something incredibly scary and life-changing right now. She was suddenly diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a rare and fast-moving flesh eating infection that has completely turned her world upside down.
Over the past two weeks, she’s been in the hospital fighting for her life. During that time, she went into sepsis and also experienced anaphylactic shock—both very serious and life-threatening. She has already gone through five surgeries, with more likely still ahead, as doctors work to stop the infection and help her heal. Sadly, she will be losing two fingers as a result.
The road ahead is going to be long. She is also a single mother of two working to put kids through college. She’ll be out of work for months while she recovers and goes through rehab, and her surgeon has told her she likely will not be able to return to the job she loves.
This has been overwhelming in every way—physically, emotionally, and financially. We’re hoping to raise funds to help cover medical bills, rehab, and everyday expenses so she can focus on getting better without the added stress.
If you’re able to donate, thank you so much—it truly means everything. And if not, sharing this page would help more than you know.
We’re so grateful for any support you can give.
