My grandson Kaleb is a hardworking student who was recently accepted to Binghamton University after graduating from SUNY Broome, where he made the president's list every semester. Unfortunately, his old laptop, which lasted him three years, just died. Repairing it would cost more than buying a new one, and it’s not even certain that it can be fixed. Kaleb has applied for grants but aren't guaranteed he will get them and they don’t cover the admission fee required to enroll at Binghamton University, which is due by May 1st.
This year has been especially tough for our family. I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer and have undergone two surgeries so far with more to follow, which has left me unable to help Kaleb financially as I would like. Despite these challenges, Kaleb has remained focused on his education and dreams of earning his bachelor's degree. He has also faced the added difficulty of living with narcolepsy, but he continues to persevere and work hard toward his goals.
I would never ask for any help for myself, but Kaleb truly deserves the chance to accomplish his dreams. Any support you can offer would mean the world to both of us. Kaleb and I would be eternally grateful for your kindness and generosity in helping him continue his education and reach his full potential.
